Successful Zanby Online Communities

Climate Networks

The Climate Networks is an affiliation of several of the most active climate change organizations, including 1Sky, Energy Action Coalition, CO2NSEQUENCE, and Focus the Nation. These organizations saw the power of joining forces online.

The Climate Networks, built on the Zanby R3 platform, permits all partner organizations to have their own brand, their own events and groups, while at the same time sharing that data across the organizations. For example, a member of the 1sky organization can see and rsvp to a local event hosted by EAC.

For enterprise network users, data privacy and data access are critical. As with all Zanby implementations, the Climate Networks system allows its partner organizations to actually be the network platform.

Finnegans

Finnegans uses their Zanby Group Family for extreme social networking efforts to organize and inspire their 400+ volunteers as well as save hundreds of thousands on marketing and promotion.

FinnegansFamily.org is a customized Zanby Group Family that helps the volunteer-run company collaborate and manage their overall business internally. In addition, the Group Family architecture also optimizes the external marketing and promotion operations while fostering behavioral marketing strategies at the same time. All with one login.

Since its launch, FinnegansFamily.org has helped organize their 400+ volunteers to keep the organization flowing. And the goal for ’09? Continue to tap the rich Zanby community features to find 600 more volunteers to reach the desired 1000 core members. Now that’s a beer company that’s doing some serious good! (We’ll drink to that.)

Uptake

TheUpTake.org is an acclaimed, citizen-fueled, online video news channel focused on politics and the media. Zanby serves as the organizing and video publishing platform that allows The UpTake to quickly organize new groups of journalists and publish their work with speed and integrity.

Since its inception in 2007, The UpTake has advanced the frontier of news gathering by using cutting-edge technologies (like cell phone cameras loaded with live broadcasting software) to instantly publish its reports to the web via custom Zanby content objects.

The UpTake’s groundbreaking coverage has been carried by the Associated Press, the BBC, CNN and MSNBC, The Huffington Post and many more. Its videos have been seen by millions of viewers and citizen journalists in 22 states have submitted stories.
